W. Keith Sloan M.D. 83 Cape Coral, Florida formerly of Oblong, IL.

died Friday February 9, 2001 in Cape Coral, FL. He was born October 14,

1917 in Oblong, Illinois. He was the son of Leslie Pearl Sloan & Ethel

Fern (Weirich) Sloan. Dr. Sloan practiced surgery in Madison, Indiana for

25 years. He was a surveyor and consultant for the Joint Commission

on Accreditation of Hospitals for 10 years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran

of WWII serving as a medical officer in the South Pacific. Dr. Sloan was

certified by the American Board of General Surgery and was a Fellow of the

American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Sloan is survived by his wife Jeanne; Son William Sloan; 3 Daughters

Carol Vlastos, Susanne Haden & Patricia Hill; 8 Grandchildren; 10 Great

Grandchildren and mother of the children Josephine Sloan. He is preceded

in death by his parents.

Burial will be in Oblong Cemetery.
